Louisville Center for the Arts

Thanks to the City of Louisville, the Coal Creek Theater of Louisville has called the Louisville Center for the Arts home for over 30 years.

Originally built in 1894 as a two-room schoolhouse, this beautifully preserved building has become a cornerstone of Louisville’s vibrant arts scene. With its Victorian-era charm and modern accessibility, the Arts Center hosts a wide range of events, from art shows and classes to community gatherings—and, of course, unforgettable theater performances. It is proudly listed on the Louisville Register of Historic Places.

Accessibility

Renovations have made the Louisville Arts Center fully wheelchair accessible. If you have any questions regarding specific accessibility concerns, please contact us.
