Production History

30+ Years of Live theater

Coal Creek Theater of Louisville began in 1990 with a free outdoor performance of Paul Sills’ Story Theater in Memory Square Park, sparking interest in creating a local theater company. From its early shows - including the historically inspired December in Louisville—1914 by founding member Pasco Scarpella - Coal Creek Theater of Louisville has grown into a cornerstone of this historic mining town’s cultural scene. Today, CCTL produces three diverse shows each year, ranging from comedies to musicals, while also spotlighting local talent through the Front Range Playwrights Showcase.
